Connecting fitness and charity

On a more local, and less intimidating scale, there are fundraisers in Western New York. The Ride for Roswell opened its registration for the annual fundraiser for Roswell Park Cancer Institute held this year on June 26. The event, which begins and ends at the University at Buffalo's North Campus, features eight different routes, from 3 miles to 62.5 miles, although the website suggests that a 100-mile route may be added this year.

About The Ride

The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Its core mission is to understand, prevent and cure cancer.
The Ride is a year-round fundraising program for the Institute that culminates in a celebratory cycling event every June. It is a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters.

The Ride For Roswell offers a distance for any type of rider. Participants can choose to ride from eight routes this year! Either choose a traditional route that starts from Baird Point -- the 100-mile, 62.5-mile, 44-mile, 33-mile, 30-mile, 20-mile, 8-mile routes or The 3-mile Family Fun Route-- You can also join the Extra Mile Club Peloton: only 12-miles from Roswell Park to UB.
If you can't ride that day or want to simply fundraise and join us at the picnic, become a virtual rider!
