Man it felt good to put in 63 miles on a gorgeous Saturday. I left Amherst at around 12 noon and got back just before 5. I went up Bailey to Main St. (Route 5) then with the wind at my back, went 32 miles out to East Pembroke in Genesee county. Stop…

This year's ride really has taken on so much more meaning to me than ever before. As I began promoting this year's ride, people would stop me and tell me their story.....a loved one, a friend.....someone they know who has been affected by cancer. I…

Rocked a 63 mile ride Saturday

Man it felt good to put in 63 miles on a gorgeous Saturday. I left Amherst at around 12 noon and got back just before 5. I went up Bailey to Main St. (Route 5) then with the wind at my back, went 32 miles out to East Pembroke in Genesee county. Stopped at Yancey's fancy for a brief break and a power bar snack before turning around to head home when I hit the 32 mile mark. Experienced some 15 mph head winds coming back which lengthened my ride a bit, but I got it done! Total ride time was under 4… Continue

Riding to support family, friends, co-workers and more.....

This year's ride really has taken on so much more meaning to me than ever before. As I began promoting this year's ride, people would stop me and tell me their story.....a loved one, a friend.....someone they know who has been affected by cancer. I began doing the ride back in 2005 in honor of my aunt....a cancer survivor. I began by adding her name to my riding jersey as well as the names that others wanted me to honor as well. Every year I add more and more names.....this year is no exception.… Continue

About The Ride

The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Its core mission is to understand, prevent and cure cancer.
The Ride is a year-round fundraising program for the Institute that culminates in a celebratory cycling event every June. It is a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters.

The Ride For Roswell offers a distance for any type of rider. Participants can choose to ride from eight routes this year! Either choose a traditional route that starts from Baird Point -- the 100-mile, 62.5-mile, 44-mile, 33-mile, 30-mile, 20-mile, 8-mile routes or The 3-mile Family Fun Route-- You can also join the Extra Mile Club Peloton: only 12-miles from Roswell Park to UB.
If you can't ride that day or want to simply fundraise and join us at the picnic, become a virtual rider!
