- I am riding in honor of my brother Michael who was killed on April 28, 2009 in an airplane crash and my sister-in-law Caroline who died from brain cancer in February 2010. In addition to being a top ten fundraiser, Michael was committed to an outreach program for the early detection of lung cancer as many of his clients died from it. We are also committed to brain cancer research and keeping patients' dreams alive and well.
- How many years have you been riding?
- My first bycyle ride fundraiser was a 1987, 150 mile 3 day ride for the American Lung Association, and I have been riding ever since. I believe that this will be fourth Ride Roswell.
- What is your favorite memory of The Ride For Roswell?
- Friendships developed along the way. Last year's Peloton was very special.We relayed my brother's bike; we felt like he was with us in spirit the whole way.

About The Ride
The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Its core mission is to understand, prevent and cure cancer.
The Ride is a year-round fundraising program for the Institute that culminates in a celebratory cycling event every June. It is a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters.
The Ride For Roswell offers a distance for any type of rider. Participants can choose to ride from eight routes this year! Either choose a traditional route that starts from Baird Point -- the 100-mile, 62.5-mile, 44-mile, 33-mile, 30-mile, 20-mile, 8-mile routes or The 3-mile Family Fun Route-- You can also join the Extra Mile Club Peloton: only 12-miles from Roswell Park to UB.
If you can't ride that day or want to simply fundraise and join us at the picnic, become a virtual rider!
