Sorry you missed seeing the signs - this series were only on the Peleton Ride - on Ring Road in Delaware Park kind of along the scajaquada - I try to space everything out so people can catch at least parts of the inspirational sign series, but they can be easy to miss when you're riding and chatting - next year I may give the peloton ride leaders a heads up about where we put the signs so the ride marshalls can let folks know - not hard to do on the Peleton Ride, for the rest of the routes though it's up to chance!

As for your efforts and why you ride, well it seems pretty unfair that you and your wife have been so effected by this (thinking that '1 in 3' stat might be overstated for your family), i know for me personally, while I've done the ride for several years and it was meaningful to do it in memory of my mother who I lost to colon cancer, it certainly took on a whole different meaning when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer (and promptly cured by it's removal - lucky me to get it in a organ where most of us have a spare - lucky indeed!)

Anyway, this is a great event and I'm happy to be involved in it and am always so moved by everyone's commitment to it - so a very sincere "Thanks" to you and your wife and family for all you've done to support it!

About The Ride

The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Its core mission is to understand, prevent and cure cancer.
The Ride is a year-round fundraising program for the Institute that culminates in a celebratory cycling event every June. It is a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters.

The Ride For Roswell offers a distance for any type of rider. Participants can choose to ride from eight routes this year! Either choose a traditional route that starts from Baird Point -- the 100-mile, 62.5-mile, 44-mile, 33-mile, 30-mile, 20-mile, 8-mile routes or The 3-mile Family Fun Route-- You can also join the Extra Mile Club Peloton: only 12-miles from Roswell Park to UB.
If you can't ride that day or want to simply fundraise and join us at the picnic, become a virtual rider!
