Event Description

This is a 24 mile ride around Grand Island and is a continuation of the pre-Ride for Roswell advanced training rides.

 

Meet i the lower section of the park lot at the Grand Island Holiday Inn.

 

Riders shouls have a road bike or hybrid and be able to keep a steady pace of 17 mph.  Please comeequipped with:

  1. Water bottles (2 suggested)
  2. Air pump
  3. Power bars, cliff bars or otehr edibles
  4. Basic repair iems (patch kit, spare tube)
  5. Cell phone
  6. sunscreen

About The Ride

The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Its core mission is to understand, prevent and cure cancer.

Bike Safety Tips

Drink water all day & eat before you start. We have 13 rest stops where you can rest, get hydrated & grab a PB&J or banana.

Be sure your helmet is resting flat on your head, not tilted up or down. Also be sure the strap is tight enough.Be sure helmet locks securely, fits well & has no cracks.

A-B-C Check- Be sure your bike is in good condition. Check bike tires for proper Air pressure. Check Brakes. Check Chain.
